Class Description
Vadnais will guide students in better understanding various masterworks. Various topics will be discussed such as technique, methodology, composition, and historical context based on the particular work. This is an excellent class for those who are also engaged in plein air landscape work during the warmer months.
About the Instructor
Bennett Vadnais received his art training at the Bougie Studio, MN, the Water Street Atelier, NY, and The Art Students League of New York. His work has earned him various awards including scholarships from the American Society of Classical Realism and The Art Students League. He was also the recipient of both the Edward G. McDowell and the Xavier Gonzalez Travel Grants from The Art Students League in 2003. Vadnais works primarily in acrylic and other water media. While he explores a variety of subject matter, his specialty is urban landscape. He exhibits with George Billis Gallery in NYC and Galerie L’oeil du prince, Paris, France. He has also shown work with Anderson Fine Art Gallery, St. Simons Island, GA, Atlanta Art Gallery, Atlanta, GA, Century Gallery, Alexandria VA, Hirschl & Adler Modern, New York, NY, John Pence Gallery, San Francisco, and KB Gallery, New York, NY. Vadnais is an instructor of painting and drawing at Zoll Studio School of Fine Arts in Maryland and also teaches periodic workshops at the Teaching Studios of Art on Long Island.
