Using the Zoom platform our class will meet twice weekly engaging in detailed discussions and individually guided assignments.
Objectives of the class will be as follows:
*Connectivity to high quality remote live model pose
*Student will develop individually completed works.
*Q&A sessions during instructor demonstrations.
*Ongoing group critiques advancing individual progress
*Personal email critiques of student works
*Improved problem solving exercises
*Igniting individual and collective motivations.
About the Instructor
Born in 1961 in New York City, Garin Baker received his BFA in Painting and Art History at Pratt Institute, with additional studies at The Art Students League. As a traditional figurative artist and plein air painter, has had a long career as a professional artist with an impressive list of commissions and sales. He’s also nationally recognized for his largescale public art mural commissions for municipal, private, and corporate collections in the United States and abroad. He has been the subject of several features in American Artist and Plein Air Magazine. Mr. Baker has won several first place and grand prize awards including Plein Air Easton, Brandywine, PA and the prestigious Irvine Museum Award. For more information, please visit garinbaker.com
